yeah, just finished reading and it was very good and got me all the more intrigued bc this seems to be a pretty different record we’re about to get, at least in terms of its ethos.

Cake doesn't have a single album that it is good all the way through, but I like 3-4 songs an album usually.

Let's compare the 1975 to Oasis

I like Weezer. And Korn. And Cake. And Oasis. And The 1975, while we're at it.

    I'm pretty easygoing.

Not in love with the single still, but I love the concept behind the album after reading that Rolling Stone interview/story. Honestly found it inspiring. It really resonated with me.

If the vinyl comes out in October the record has been finished for nearly a year

    Got a light?

Idk how anyone who likes this band could not like this song unless you are mostly a fan of the big pop songs, I was turned off and not excited about this due to Matty being Matty since the last release but this song aside from the lyrics being half good half wtf, instantly got me back on board

I think it’s a solid song. It just doesn’t resonate with me like a lot of their other stuff has

Not necessarily, major labels have been cutting the line and fucking it up for the indie labels.

this doesnt sound anything like their other stuff really so that makes sense to me, liking other stuff and not this. even their softer stuff previously didnt go in this direction

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Seems like this is going to be their “softest” record by far, primarily based on the fact that the interviewer said that Be My Mistake feels out of place in ABI but would be at home on BFiaFL

This is where I’m at. Probably their first single that I can recal not listening to ad nauseam before the album release. But maybe that’ll be a blessing and I’ll enjoy it a lot more when the record comes out
