I feel like there should be a term for becoming more invested in a bands discog knowing they’re still active and recent output is good. Makes me like albums I didn’t like much before a lot better in context.

EDIT: kind of forget how good The Gutter is sometimes.

 

It’s VERY good.

Cuts Marked is S Tier

 

To be fair, I consider that album pretty much flawless. It's their best album IMO

 

every part except "black rainbow" and "young love"

Toys is phenomenal.
I think the fact that whenever someone posts their least favorites everyone says they disagree, it shows how impressive their catalogue is.

 

toys was the first song on the unheavenly creatures that made me go 'oh wow, they're really going to take risks on here', and they did and they worked

its a top 5 coheed song for me

 

Damn near that entire album is incredible.

 

Definitely not meant to slander. Just minor complaints on great tracks on great albums. Mostly preference related...I love this band

 

Can’t wait for this tour. Seeing it 8/6!

A few of these were a lot harder than I thought they’d be

 

Can’t wait to see set lists for this tour. The new album is the first time I’ve given Coheed a fair shot and I dig a lot of what I’ve checked out on past albums. Very excited to see them live. Given the very positive response I’ve seen from most people, I hope they play a lot of tracks off of this.

 

Yeah I hope they play a ton, but I think realistically only 4-5 are on the table. Selfishly I hope they drop Shoulders since that got played last tour. I have no idea how to narrow down this album to 4-5 I'd want them to play. Ladders of Supremacy would be so cool but is probably a long shot this time.

 

Disappearing act gotta be one.

 

Can’t see them playing a lot of songs from this album. The album being on the shorter side helps, but I still think they’ll top out around 17 songs on the setlist and have ten albums of material. I would expect four or five songs from this album. Even during the touring cycle for TUC, they didn’t play a ton from that album on most tours.

All seem likely, with the chance of Beautiful Losers and Comatose. Claudio has said they’ve been working on Window and mentioned on stream he has to figure it out soon haha

they played 6 songs from TUC on the summer tour with Mastodon, I could see them doing 6 again
