Try 20 years

20 years ago, I was starting my senior year of high school. Holy fuck, I'm old.

 

We both old. I had just graduated.

 

yeah I know people that have worked there and have heard horror stories. I know they at least pay decent. But they are always understaffed to “help keep prices low”

 

I shop there a lot and I always make sure to be super nice to the employees cause I feel bad knowing they probably hate it there.

 

Guys, maps aren’t real

hell yeah there are, plus the giant ice walls they don’t want us to know about because of course, as you know, the earth is flat.

where have gas prices fallen? it's been 4.99 near my place for the past month

 

It's definitely gone down 10-15 cents near me the last week or two

related: the gas station company I work for is making a ton of money! we're way under budget! I still make the same money though!

 

I only recently realized the severity to which most commonly used maps here distort the entire northern part of the world. I had known about the phenomena before, but I was 39 years old when I learned the actual extent of it. I felt like a fucking fool as I was frantically googling things like "actual size and shape of countries Reddit" at work.

I realize in hindsight that this idea makes absolutely no sense whatsoever if you know how maps are made, but I think I always thought that the shape of, say Russia, was basically accurate on the map and just the size was slightly exaggerated. I honestly felt like someone who had fallen for the flat earth stuff. I don't even like admitting it out loud here.

 

I saw 4.50 the other day
