The problem with trading for Kevin Durant the player is you also get Kevin Durant the person. The odds he actually plays out all 4 years left on his deal with his next team are pretty slim, and you're going to have to mortgage your future for that privilege.

I don’t want to speak for Argus but KD has only stayed 3 years on his last 2 teams so it may be unlikely he stays 4 years on his next team

 

Well he’s 32 and has had foot/leg injuries so that’s definitely possible but arguing with draymond only makes him more likeable imo lol

His breakup with GSW was very mutual. This is the first time he’s asked for a trade. Doesn’t make him a bad teammate.

Probably just teams trying to make them to sound whacky so they don’t have to give up much. Every team starts out with what’s the most you can get and it dwindles. It’ll probably end up looking something like the harden trade.

Precisely. I didn't mean he's a bad teammate, but that he seems restless and I can't really envision the situation where he'd be content. He joined Golden State after the Thunder couldn't get past them in the playoffs, but then got upset when people criticized him for needing to join a 73 win team to get over the hump. His move to Brooklyn was amicable, but I think it was also made at least in part because of that criticism. And now he wants to move again, even though we've yet to see what the Nets look like with him, Kyrie and Ben on the floor together. Maybe he'd finally be happy if he could lead a team without any other stars to a title, but it's been a while since a team like that won it all.
