I don't really care to catch up on all this internal drama, all I know is there is still at least one extremely credible accusation against Tilian and DGD fans have been acting weird enough about this whole thing to turn me off from listening for the foreseeable future

 

Oh for sure. I'd never listened to the band but was getting jazzed by the new singles I had heard on the radio. The accusations cut that enthusiasm completely. No reason to support someone like that.

 

This is interesting because I've been into several bands that were somewhat DGD-adjacent for years but I've never given them the time of day until I heard synergy when the video dropped. I thought it was decent but after about 5 songs worth of trying I said "yeah this is 100% not for me". Month or two later this news drops and I'm fine with them not working for me

 

Has anyone heard from beachdude? He deleted his Twitter and I haven't seen him post recently on the situation. I'm hoping he is doing OK and that he is just taking care of personal matters. Regardless of everything he may have known or not known about her, I think he made the right move in advocating for her to speak out. Mikaela coming forward gave spookypooky8 the courage to share her story as well.

It appears he deleted his twitter for being apart of that group chat with Mikaela. It seems like a majority of the people in there did from just a vanity search on twitter

but not a discussion for in here I suppose.

 

I can vouch for him that he’s a good dude and started getting a bunch of threats on Twitter. We’re in contact and from my understanding there’s a lot of inner-politics in that group chat.

 

I think he may have deleted his Facebook too, if that's the case I'm glad someone is in touch with him and can check in and such

 

Who is the chorus member that was defending her? Don’t just want to assume it’s Beachdude and yeah I hope he’s ok if he’s getting threats.

 

Has anyone heard anything about this? I saw this on Twitter and I’m posting to hopefully get some context in case anyone has the details.

 

If he’s calling the Danes slurs, that’s cool you can actually do that. If it’s using the danish language to use racial slurs, that sucks.

I can’t even tell if he’s just trying to be edgy or he’s actually believing what he’s saying, leaning towards the latter but it doesn’t even fully make sense what he’s saying

 

It's still crazy to me that someone facing even the mildest of consequences just screams that they are being canceled.
