I get Durant wants out and who knows his thoughts on going to Toronto but he seems very knowledgeable with how people perceive him and I think I’d be surprised if he would be happy with going to Toronto (not that it’s his call but if he tells Toronto, “I don’t want to be here” maybe they don’t pursue him) because… even if he would win a ring there, Kwahi just did that.

And as some articles have talked about, going to Phoenix would still have people giving him shit that it wouldn’t be much different than when he joined the Warriors and was surprised people hated that move since they were in the Finals two years ago and had a great record last year.

Usually I’d think, “the athlete doesn’t give a shit what the public thinks” but I think we’ve seen enough by now that Durant does care and pay attention to that stuff so kind of weird he wants to go to Phoenix unless he somehow has convinced himself there wouldn’t be backlash to that as “trying to get an easy ring”.
