Lol how was it shoehorned? It was established in BB that Krazy 8 was Hanks “informant” and that Saul was his and Emilio’s lawyer. It made sense and tied together strands that had to be connected before the show ended.

ugh. The ending of Ozark was so bad, it tainted the whole show for me to the point I won’t rewatch it. I enjoyed it up until the end. They just didn’t stick the landing.

my hope is that Season 6 Part 2 ends up at least getting some recognition during the next Emmy’s, like a victory lap at the end. We’ll see I guess. I think they deserve it this year too, but I just don’t see it happening the same way it did for Breaking Bad.

When Hector Salamanca yells he sounds just like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

In season four now. I hope that the death of one antagonist does not veer this too far into Fring versus the cartel because the law stuff is so much more interesting. A single episode of this show has more unique shots than some entire films. They don't always work but it definitely keeps your attention.

Don’t write the cartel stuff off just yet Tetra. Glad your watching this though and you’ll be caught up by July.

I didn't want to catch up until the last episode aired but between summer break and the show being really good I have been watching it too fast.

Mike and Saul were the two best side characters in Breaking Bad so it was wise to base it off them. Overall the characters are just better written in this one. Hamlin really blossomed into more than a villain, Nacho's two-timing matches Saul, and Kim is a great avatar for people who want to believe in the good in people like Saul.

Finishing the fifth season, Lalo becoming Jason Bourne was a reminder of the excesses of Breaking Bad. Gus and his men are incredibly professional and efficient, except when the script needs them not to be.

Saul's animosity toward Howard is strange because of the lengths the show went to show that Howard ended up having to be the bad guy when Chuck was trying to hold his brother down.

The show is at its best when Saul is scheming and deceiving people. Breaking Bad was never as tethered to reality as the other "major" shows, but Saul's practices really do reflect that division between nice offices with 500 dollar an hour associates and the ones that use their homes as a mailing address. Kim's push and pull with Saul is always intriguing, but of all the characters that have to be resolved before Breaking Bad, I don't know how they will land that one effectively.

Need to savor every second of these last few episodes. No show will ever be given the leash to accomplish what BCS accomplished ever again.

Idk they said they didn't write the season as having a break and Gould said this episode is nail biting. I imagine this is picking up right where they left off.

Supposedly Bob had his attack in the first scene, or one of the first scenes of this episode.

For a prequel, it's wild to be this invested and not know where so many things are going exactly.
