Seriously considering not even voting this November

 

If they won’t fight, I won’t vote.

I have to vote for Tim Ryan in Ohio who’s ad just boasts about the times he voted with Trump

 

only voting because New York having a republican governor would suck so much

 

I don’t really have much to vote for other than to maybe bury whatever nutjob Republican is running for our Rep seat. Lisa Blunt Rochester has been doing a better job and working on some progressive bonafides here and there so not really angry at her as much as I might be otherwise. However all the Delaware pols have to bow down to whatever Biden wants right now so bleh.

I’ll def vote in my locals because both my local reps are pretty fucking cool

Biden was a racist, sexist piece of shit in office from day one in office in the 1970’s. Why am I not surprised he is just choosing to side with this Supreme Court. I guess I feel dumb for thinking any of them would have the guts to even try any single thing at all.

its so dumb. like, the right wing base is already energized. playing hardball standing up for abortion rights isn't going to magically energize them even more.

who is this magic voter who would suddenly not vote / vote republican if Biden actually fights for us?

cause you're certainly not alone in people who might get so let down by the democrats lack of a spine that they don't vote. Seems to me like it would be a very easy way to actually convince people you're a party worth voting for.

Yeah, I had a similar situation with my neighbors several times, and the worst time (she was repeatedly yelling at the guy to "get out of my house" after I'm pretty sure he hit her/physically assaulted her in some way and he was saying that he wasn't leaving), I called the police. A DV emergency service of some kind would have been better, but they didn't send one when I called 911 and I wanted to give her the chance to finally get rid of that asshole. They were both white and are kind of awful people anyway (they'd called the police on us a few times for absolutely absurd, petty reasons), so I can't say that had nothing to do with my decision.

Things were already calming down when the police got there, so there wasn't any escalation and they didn't have any loud fights for a while afterwards (and, to my knowledge, the guy hasn't physically abused her since then, although I'm obviously not always around and listening to their garbage). But I did feel kind of awful about doing it after the fact and wondering if I made the right decision
