Agreed with the consensus the last two were awesome

Does anyone know any podcasts for the Star Wars TV shows that aren't just super fanboy-y? Finding it hard to find anything that's a bit critical, rather than everything being awesome.

  5. Last two episodes were good but why does this show look like dog shit. The scenes with ships flying in space were so terrible looking. The entire series looks like it was filmed in a small room with a green screen (I get that most of it probably was but make it look better).

And still bummed Hayden was in it for like 4 minutes of screen time over six episodes.

The T16 toy in the few episodes was cool.

It's good they gave Vader an out at the end so he doesn't need to be in any future seasons of this.

I think it was all filmed in a small room with The Volume but your point still stands. This show definitely looked like shit at times

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I also find it really strange not a single tie fighter was deployed the whole season (like instead of "increasing fire power" in ep 6 during the chase). With the way the other ships looked I guess it makes sense why they avoided using them.

I thought it looked fine, in general, but anything involving ships was so so bad. Especially that scene we talked about where they looked like the should have crashed into the wall, but somehow turned around.

All the tie fighters were shot up on the inquisitors base. There were none left.

Finally finished this today. It was a thing. I enjoyed Leia’s character. Feel like, of all characters, it made me think differently about my view of her in the original trilogy

Everything was tied in a neat bow so a season 2 at this point would just be overkill. I’d take a 3rd Sister spin off though. Why not.

Felt like it took some risks to green light a show that was basically about getting revenge on a guy who murdered a bunch of children but was still able to walk around freely for a few days/weeks/years. But you know Space Magic.

    I do not exist.

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Watched the whole thing this week. The last two episodes were excellent.

OBI-WAN KENOBI Nearly Saw Darth Vader Take A Shot At Emperor Palpatine For Failing To Defeat Yoda

"I had this really funny line. It was Vader saying, 'Look, Kenobi is one of the two biggest threats in the Galaxy.' And the Emperor responds, 'Pity you didn't kill him when you had the chance.' And Vader responds, 'The other one is Yoda.' And the Emperor just gets really pissed off at him. 'You forget your place.' [Laughs] He's on him from the start, 'Let this go. That's Anakin. You're Darth now.'"

Thank you. I was looking for this after reading several articles about it that annoyingly didn't link to it. (I know it's probably a huge liability, but it was still annoying AF.)

I don't know how many episodes the show is because I only watched 2, but this is a 2.5 hr movie.

    Also, it's really good.

This was quite good. The only thing I miss is Reva going for Luke at the end. I really liked how her arc ended in the show, but I can see how adding that on after the fight scene would be a bit much. I would almost certainly rewatch this instead of the show in the future.

I watched another fan edit that was just 2 hours and this one was definitely more cohesive. Though the other one did two things differently, which was to play the flashback fight scene parallel to the final battle (as well as trim some of the superfluous rock chucking) and cut the Inquisitor fortress rescue entirely. I liked both of those aspects, though admittedly cutting the Inquisitor raid did lead to some clunky character introductions and left it feeling rushed, so I ultimately think the Patterson version is better for keeping it in. While it does slow the plot down, the rescue scene does help the audience connect with Indira Varma's character and show us Obi-Wan beginning to reconnect with the force.
