If I had to pick a favorite drummer it would be Josh. Dude has such a good groove/feel for the songs and he truly seems like he loves what he does which really comes through in his playing.

 

Coffee is fantastic, I actually bought their pour over maker too haha

It’s unreal how good he is on this whole album. I struggle thinking of drummers I enjoy more than him. He is just so locked in all the time

 

I think there are a couple drummers I like more (Aric from Night Verses, David from PBTT) but hearing Coheed with and without Josh makes me thankful for him and the part he brings to what makes the band special. He really did elevate this time around though.

 

My feelings on the musical direction and production choices aside, Josh is a fucking monster on this, as expected.

 

He’s got a really great feel for groove within the band. I was so happy when they brought him back for The Afterman. Chris Pennie is a beast in his own way, but Josh and the band were really on the same page since the beginning.

 

The art/packaging/layout has been so cool for both Vaxis albums so far.

Need them to repress IKS again so I can have a copy that doesn’t skip during the bridge of Blood Red Summer

 

Man the art for Vaxis so far is just so rad

 

Can’t wait to do this for all 5 chapters in 12ish years, haha.

 

I received my vinyl, it’s the marmalade glow which I can’t seem to find any info on.

Loving the album, really great all around. Bad Man is awesome.

The Afterman albums are sad in the grand scheme of those two albums from start to finish when you dig into the story

 

I love this pressing of No World for Tomorrow. Justice in Murder and Radio Bye Bye are super underrated imo

I have the OG black 180g that sounds great, but this variant looks so dang cool. Jealous.

 

The only other vinyl of theirs I have is the GAI RSD repress - it’s one of my most prized records

 

I have IKS, Vaxis 1, and two copies of YOTBR because someone I used to be friends with just gave me his small record collection, though I don’t know if it plays well or if it’s in good condition

 

My friend got me the coffee beans, and the mug for my 30th! Woohoo!

 

I think I’m gonna have to pull the trigger on this soon. I love coffee and Coheed too much not to.

I have everything on vinyl, except the TCBTS RSD misprint and Jessie’s girl. SSTB black tour series repress, IKS on black 180g repress, RSD GA:1, black NWFT and YOTBR, black ascension, aqua Descension, black TCBTS, tricolor TUC and the blue/orange swirl for this one. I used to have 3-4 variants of SSTB. I’d be sitting on a gold mine if I still had them.

 

reading the allmusic track by track from Claudio definitely put this in a new light for me. still struggle with some of the choices and production here, but it's got a lot more emotion than I gave it credit for

man, between this album and that last Wonder Years single, big week for artists in this scene making music for their kids huh
