Looking forward to the PVRIS diss track he does when he goes back to rapping

 

lol Avril only getting 30 minutes on this tour?

She’s only playing 8 songs according to her sets on setlist.fm

 

That’s fucked

That feels disrespectful to Avril

 

MGK averaging 28-29 songs a night too lol

 

Also happened to iann last night too looks like

 

12 dates on I Prevail's tour have already sold out:

Pittsburgh, Dallas, St. Petersburgh, Atlanta, Orlando, Silver Spring, Los Angeles, San Jose, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, & Detroit.

These are wild numbers, and apparently over 65k tickets have been sold across the tour as a whole. If you're planning to go to one of the other 28 dates, I'd get tickets sooner than later.

I was on the fence about grabbing a ticket for LA since I come back from Vegas that day they're here but decided to get one anyway and I'm glad I did

 

so it was basically just an mgk show tonight ew

 

now after this hope bands from the scene don’t tour with him

 

I was surprised Pvris was touring with him on the first place. Really dont understand how your logistics make you cancel the opening act set twice

 

So doors open at 6:30 and nothing happens til 8, but they can’t play.

 

I wonder if MGK’s stage production is already set up on stage and backfilled, and so depending on the size of the stages, PVRIS’s stage production can’t also be up there at the same time? Just a shot in the dark, I have no idea. But that’s the only thing I can think of that makes any kind of logistical sense.

 

So it’s possible it’s that, or from everything I know about touring, so the guys that set up, break down etc are contracted and paid for X amount of time. So they may have found out that production is taking longer or can’t be done in X amount of time and they aren’t gonna pay these guys more/or can’t. So they just cut the band to lesser the work.

 

Yeah that would make sense too, for sure. You’d think a rock band like PVRIS would still be able to play without stage production. Their fans would still have a good time and they’d still sell merch, I’m sure. So it’s gotta be more than just stage production that’s keeping them from playing, unless the band really don’t want to play without their stage pro.

 

I know union hours can be tricky and paying extra hours can be expensive. But the tour has been going for almost a month with 2 opening acts per show (Blackbear, Avril Lavigne, Iann Dior being on the first weeks). If they were able to accomodate the stage changes for them I think they would be able to do it for Pvris, specially if Trippe Redd only play for like 20 minutes the other day.

I dont think Pvris has more stage production than Avril for example

 

Apparently they cut Iann Dior’s set Friday night and Avril only got a half hour. Something weird is happening behind the scenes.

 

Thats true. Avril played 8 songs as main support while Blackbear played 16 on his dates.

Wonder if only playing 30 minutes was Avril's decision

 

Also Brian lives in the uk and had fly out for the shows too which sucks

 

Part of me wonders if like black bear and Avril get paid similarly or if Avril makes more. Because hey, if you’re getting paid good for less work, I think we’d all do that
