first song and last 3 songs are the highlights. killer killer album. the 'heed never disappoints

 

Three listens through, this may be in perfect album territory for me tbh

 

This is great. Not sure if I prefer it vs the proggy leanings in Vaxis 1 but coheed RARELY misses

 

Tbh, I don’t think this band has been proggy much at all for a while. Maybe a song or two here and there on albums, but I feel like GA1 was the last time they really flexed their prog muscles.

 

“A Disappearing Act” sounds like Warped Tour 2007…

 

I was prepared for some polarization…a disappearing act is one of my favs at this point and I normally prefer the longer/more complex Coheed. Love this so far

Every time I hear a Josh fill I like I’m always so happy he found his way back into the band.

 

I really feel like A Disappearing Act is the barometer for how you feel about the whole album. If you love it, you probably love the whole thing. If your meh on it, the album is probably hit or miss.

I’m honestly surprised more people haven’t singled this one out. My mouth was open in awe the entire first time I heard it.

 

I am so confused why they held the coffee until the release date to then not ship everything together … but my coffee is here! no record yet

 

Loved every song so far but this morning that one really hit me.

The Coheed coffee is terrific.

 

This makes sense, I think Disappearing was favorite on the first listen. That and Liars Club

 

On first listen, I like about 4 or 5 songs from this. I dunno. I’d blame it on just having bad taste, but I love the new MUNA album. So I don’t even know anymore haha.

I liked their pop stuff so much more on the Afterman albums.

 

Is josh human? Because he sounds like a fucking machine on the bridge of comatose I mean my fucking god man

 

He’s insane for the whole album. That galloping part at the end of The Liars Club is crazy as well.
