I was waiting for it because it’s definitely something Vader would say too lol

Wait so Uncle and Auntie Lars manage to be all badass and hold off a fucking dark Jedi and then 8 years later get easily turned into bbq by a few measly Stormtrooper grunts?

We don't know how many Stormtroopers died that day.

To be fair, Reva was also stabbed in the gut just a few hours before that. Fair to say she wasn't at 100%.

I do appreciate that Luke never actually saw the lightsaber and probably just thought some lady was chasing him. I was worried that how that was going to play out in terms of Luke's lack of knowledge about force users later.

Loved the finale and can’t wait to watch all the episodes together. I love the mirroring of the series with Last Jedi and Luke’s journey.

As far as a season 2, I think Ben is in a good place and I don’t need to see more, but will gladly take it. I would like to see more Reva and what she chooses her story to be whether that be in her own show or the rumored Cal Kestis show as mentioned earlier in this thread. I’m assuming we’ll hear more at D23.

Who would have thought that the “from a certain point of view” was actually Anakin’s point of view and not strictly Kenobi’s.

    It’s a retcon I can get behind.

Also they knew that Reva was coming and were able to prepare. The storm troopers probably showed up without warning. Plus Owen had the injury, which he got from Reva funny enough.

And did Luke ever even see Reva? I don’t remember. They told him Tuskans were coming. And he ran out of the room before Reva came in. So he was running in the dark and then was knocked out.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I did like the touch of Obi-Wan calling Anakin "Darth" like he did in episode 4

I was more satisfied with that then I thought I would be since I came in knowing that obviously they weren’t going to kill each other right now. Thought it was great to have him incapacitate him like that and get a chance to talk. The emotion in his face when he was faced with what he thought was his failure again, as well as the burn injuries, was well done.

Was Qui-Gon completely CGI or no? Is Liam Neeson just looking old af now or was that not him? Because his face did look off to me. Either way I’m both super happy we saw him but bummed it was just that one line.

Interested to see what Ben does. He obviously stays on planet overall but doesn’t feel the need to be lording over Luke so, guess we’ll see.
i also did this but at the “hello there” haha. Took them long enough.

Yeah I really loved it tbh. The whole joke about how he lied to Luke about Darth Vader killing Anakin Skywalker now is way less of a lie than was previously thought. Having Vader himself say it is not your failure, I killed him, etc…good stuff. But also, did he maybe say that to spare Obi-Wan his pain/guilt? I kind of got that implication after the convo with Sidious when he accuses him of still feeling connected to his old master and etc and Vader kind of straightens up and says of course not and etc.

side note-wasn’t expecting sidious at all so glad we got him too, figured we’d get more needling from him at Vader for his failures though hah

Yeah, it seems clear that Anakin still had feelings for Kenobi.

I’m not sure if Anakin’s “it is not your failure, I killed him” was out of remorse for Kenobi or out of his own pride. The former would be better but I could also see Anakin trying to convince himself that he chose and selected the right path.

Also reminded me of Han’s talk with Kylo in TFA.

I also kind of took it as maybe he wanted Obi-Wan to put him out of his misery.

Just realized I never replied to you here.

none of the dialogue bothered me I guess as nothing stands out. The Leia chase in the woods is bad, I’ll give you that. City planet didn’t stand out to me, although Reva doing parkour or whatever over rooftops was odd.

Seeing as Vader tells Ahsoka that he destroyed Anakin, I would say he truly believes he blames himself.

I watched the whole show today and like always I'm really glad I waited so I could watch it as a long movie. I actually pretty much loved this entire show. As a big prequel apologist I didn't mind the level of fanservice at all, and just seeing Ewan and Hayden back really did it for me. I actually think the Vader characterization was absolutely perfect, an excellent middle point between the Anakin of the prequels and the more poised Vader of the OT, and the last episode also did a great job kind of retconning the retroactively weird relationship between Obi-Wan and Vader in IV to make more sense (like someone said, Kenobi calling him "Darth" when he realizes he's gone fills in that blank perfectly). That whole last scene with them was actually amazing

I'm a big fan of this show in all honestly. I even really liked all the Leia stuff and the young actress did a really good job
