Yeah this is such a cool single. Very different but still extremely TMV. Love it and I’m so unbelievably stoked to have new music from them after all this time.

I dont love the single, but love TMV being back. Hoping for a fall tour.

 

Been a long time since I've listened through their albums. It's kind of wild how awesome Deloused still is, and it sounds fresh. I do feel like Cedric's melodies might have had more influence on the proggy side of post hardcore than any other singer.

 

single absolutely rocks. kinda only bummed there's no juan though.

 

It’s a nice little song, really hope the rest of the album (if there is one?) is full of long weird jams though

 

Cool song and it's great to hear Cedric sing in Spanish again. The vocal production has a sorta weird gloss to it, which takes a minute to get used to. It's also pretty short. If an album is coming, hope it has some longer tracks.

I wish but it seems they’re over the long experimental songs of the earlier albums. Hopefully we get some!

Historically there hasn't been a ton of time between single and album releases for the band, and with an upcoming tour.... I wouldn't be surprised if this comes by September

 

Having not listened to anything by them since octahedron, this is pretty cool. His voice is a lot different than I remember

 

I am all for accessible TMV. This is one band I like better when the songs are shorter, for the most part.

 

Personally I'm v pumped based on the single, but I understand how some diehards could be disappointed. That said, they really haven't been over-the-top self-indulgent prog since midway thru their original run, so it's not like this should be shocking to anyone who kept following them thru Bedlam/Oct/Noct. To me this sounds like a more interesting version of the last two records' sound.

 

As much as I love when they go nuts, I appreciate anything they do as long as it's still quality music regardless of style
