I’ve heard they were received really well and a lot of people in the scene respect Citizen so I’m not sure where that is coming from…

 

Same. Twitter is stupid. I’m sure there are indie fans talking badly about the hardcore bands they bring out as well. And then there are some people that like a larger swath of music that are into the whole lineup.

 

That sounds like something he witnessed and grafted on to the entire tour. From what my friends said, everyone was down with Citizen.

 

Yeah everyone was cool during all the openers when I saw the tour.

 

And with where hardcore has been the last several years, I’d be surprised that many people would be surprised or talking about non hardcore bands playing. Hardcore tours have been way more varied and mixed than most other genres of late imo. That kind of take just isn’t the norm right now.
