    I do not exist.

You’ll always find mewithoutYou somewhere among the flowers. They’re not hugely obvious references, just little nods that I will know and appreciate.

Love that you have said that as that’s exactly the person and situation we hope this book will speak to. Thanks for the encouragement.

Labeled podcast has Neil and David from Side Walk Slam and Run Kid Run this week. Can't wait to listen.

Side Walk Slam was HUGE for me and I also loved Run Kid Run and wish they got bigger. Their last album Patterns felt like it was the one to help them blow up, but alas.

I never really listened to either of them but I often enjoy those Labeled episodes the most.

SWS was too late to hit it big, I think. Too long after MXPX to hit it, I think. But man, Run Kid Run was right there with the pop-punk scene and they were so solid haha. I think Matt Thiessen from Relient K co-produced and wrote some of their last record. It rocks.

I was just listening to Run Kid Run. I’ll for sure check out that episode.

Side Walk Slam was my “first” band. My brother was hugely into MxPx and I liked them but felt it was uncool to like the same thing. You can definitely see the change coming with “…and we drive” with tighter song writing with RKR. I really liked that first RKR record even though I never cared really for more CCM tinged alternative music. Listening back to that first RKR they did play pretty fast and could have slowed down some of the songs haha

New John Van Deusen songs are so good. He’s becoming a new favorite artis of mine over the last couple of months.

Did switchfoot ever tour with John Mayer? My friend thinks she saw them together.

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

One of my favorite tours ever was that Appetite for Construction tour with the two of them. Man, that feels like forever ago now.

Absolutely. That album was huge for me when it came out. Nothing has hit quite like it since.
