new LOG sounds more promising than the last record or two, but still pares in comparison to everything pre-Sacrament

The new Parkway Drive single should prove how impressive it is the level LoG are maintaining.

I feel for Parkway actually. I don't like that song at all but they're getting so many negative comments on their socials. People can be horrible online to bands they profess to like.

just write good music and you won't get negative comments

i don't think the autonomous being that is parkway drive is capable of that anymore unfortunately.

I don't feel bad for a band that has chosen to go the way of writing FFDP inspired garbage. They have had A LOT of time to change that narrative and at this point, this is the path they have chosen.

It's sub-Linkin Park material and I don't like Linkin Park either.

But I'm also not going to go to their social media accounts and tell them "Hey you know that song you worked hard on? Fucking shit, dickheads."

So Linkin Park made crappy butt rock music? I believe they are one of the most popular bands (for good reason) in the world and they aren't even active. Yeah, they made some duds but nowhere close to the level of Parkway Drive.

The lane Parkway Drive have chosen to be in has led them to being bigger than ever - they play headlining slots on giant European festivals, getting tens of thousands to people to sing and chant and mosh to their songs. I'm not a fan either of the direction they've gone, but it's gotten them to a point where they're financially successful and can keep being a band playing metal music

New band from Blake from Power Trip and the drummer of Creeping Death. They have no music out yet so I'm guessing our ears will hear something soon.

and choosing that lane is why people are shitting on them. it's incredibly transparent why they made such a musical shift between atlas and ire.

Oh I agree with that, but I think the number of people who dig this sound vastly outnumber the people who hate it enough to shit on it on their socials. These people will keep growing in numbers, but their new fan base will grow even faster
