This is the kind of top notch analysis I bring to the table

 

What I'm thinking is teams are just playing the run far too much. Also, they had no weapons last year and the guy they added isn't starting so I wouldn't say they have weapons. Also, Philly had the returning rushing champion and one of the highest upside offenses in the NFL.

 

You're definitely not wrong about that. Teams are definitely playing the run very heavy against Minnesota. But I would say Diggs is a much better receiver than anyone Bradford has ever played with before, whether it's him bailing Bradford out or Bradford having a legitimate target, I guess we'll find out.

I don't buy the last statement though. Sure they had a high upside offense before but I'm not high on a single receiver they have (outside of counting Ertz) and Murray played like trash all season. I don't think that had to do with teams stacking against him too heavily as much as it did with him not fitting the system + the receivers just not being good. The offense was high upside with Jackson or Maclin, but not without both.

 

Wasn't Murray getting contacted a yard or two behind the line of scrimmage pretty consistently as well?

 

What I'm wondering is if Bradford has a good season, what happens next year? They've put themselves in a potentially weird position

 

i assume they stick with him if he does well all season

The quarterbacks they willingly chose to have are RGIII, Josh McCown, Cody Kessler, and Kevin Hogan. It's like the team is run by a coalition of Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals fans.

I think I could get them to the playoffs at QB with how their defense plays

I imagine Edelman being backup QB might not be a good idea since he gets injured as a receivers, as a QB some giant dude will just demolish him on a sack

 

If it doesn't seem smart and the Patriots are doing it then trust it's the right move.
