Blue Velvet is in my personal top 3

with The Master and Eyes Wide Shut

 

I've only seen Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, and Eraserhead. Mulholland Drive was my first, was good on my first viewing and a masterpiece on my second. After that I would probably rank them LH > BV > Eraserhead. I was half falling asleep when I watched Eraserhead which was probably not a great idea but I wasn't vibing with it very much.

Need to see Twin Peaks ASAP obviously

 

Eraserhead is awesome on repeat viewings, especially if you’re stoned lol

 

Eraserhead is really funny but also terrifying.

I just watched Lost Highway for the first time and didn’t quite get it. I read this article that explained it good, if anyone is interested.

Lost Highway is halfway extremely good

 

For those of you that don’t know, David Lunch posts two videos on his YouTube channel everyday. One is a weather report. The other is where he picks a random ball (numbered 1-10) from a jar and shows the camera and announces the number.

Just sat down for Inland Empire 4k restoration in the theater, one of his I haven’t seen yet. Expecting weird shit.

Lost Highway is going to screen near me soon too; is it any more accessible than Inland Empire ? Because I really did not enjoy IE. I loved blue velvet and twin peaks (including S3).

 

definitely more accessible than IE but very much a Lynch film haha. it's an underrated favourite of mine actually, like a grittier nastier Mulholland Drive

 

Lost Highway is great. Definitely want to watch that one again at some point.

 

I think its still on the more abstract side of his stuff but definitely more accessible than Inland Empire.
