One of the few drummers on the planet who could hang with Dave, groove-wise. What a terrible year.

My heart hurts for Taylor’s family and for the Foos. Such a tragic loss.

Fuck man. He ran in a lot of the same circles I did being from Michigan, only interacted with him a few times but he was a genuinely good dude, was close to a couple people I know. Too young. This is the worst.

Highly problematic - and that's putting it lightly - but pioneering, Jerry Lee Lewis died today:

Understand if someone doesn't want to engage with his music, but if they do, Live at the Star Club, Hamburg is probably the most definitive example of the ferocity of rock and roll ever released.

  25. He was both an unbelievably large piece of shit and an undeniably massive influence on the trajectory of American popular music over the last 60+ years. There will never be another artist like him—and in many ways that’s a good thing!

If any of y’all ever find yourselves in Memphis I cannot recommend the Sun Studios tour enough. I’ve done it a half dozen or so times and it’s always worth it. That and the Stax museum are the music-related must-sees in that town, skip Graceland imo
