I officially cashed out my entire portfolio this week. Was trying to buy a house with it lol

 

I put like a quarter of my checking account into i-bonds with their high ass interest rates for the next year or whatever. I'll get the 7+% interest rate for 6 months and then then 9+% the 6 months after that. Yeah I can't touch it for 15 months without penalty, but with the rest of our savigns and our credit cards I shouldn't have to.

 

Oh damn 9% interest, I'll have to look into what an i-bond is!

 

It's not a money maker persay because there's limits on how much you can put in, but at least it's a hedge against inflation I guess?

what's gas prices like where everyone lives? In central Florida we're approaching $5

 

I'm in California. It's abysmal.

 

Cheapest I could find near home or office is $6.18

 

I keep getting tempted to throw more money at these dips, but it seems it hasn't even reached the floor yet.

I've lost too much money as it is lol. I should just delete my apps and check back in a year.

The only good thing for me is that I just started summer vacation from teaching so I should be driving a lot less and biking a lot more until September.

Gas is right around the 4.90 range here right now. I just filled up at like 4.70 a weekish ago

 

San Diego and gas is about to hit $7 here

 

I've just held steady, all the trends hint at this still getting worse...no telling what catastrophic event will need to happen to jolt the economy but it might not be another year or so.

 

Boston is about $5/gallon

 

I'm sticking with VOO and QQQ and seeing it just go down and down. Shit's whack.

 

Recession comin, probably 2023, maybe sooner.

 

They won't learn their lesson this time, either. Gonna be painful.
