I’m actually surprised at how much WTL just sounded like an Altogether b-side haha. Expected a slightly longer jump

We reach for the longest shadow

yeah first song was great, sounds more full than their previous stuff, Austin's vocals are interesting, and the chorus wasn't immediately identifiable, which was good. Second song is really channeling some Tame Impala? Okay I can get behind that.

Really enjoying these two new songs. Wait too long is my favourite of the two so far. Love that synth.

The two songs are pretty different, which is a good sign already.

not as into the second song, pretty bland.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

Wait Too Long is fine. I do dig the synth and guitar tone but it just feels like an Altogether B-side overall.

Mountains Made of Clouds on the other hand feels like something completely new from them which I appreciate. Has a slowcore/psych rock vibe for me so I would've loved if they had a minute of just instrumental jamming in there or a solo or something to make it a bit more interesting.

  10. Interesting that there’s no album announcement yet. Dig them both though

  11. These gotta be their first proper drum fills in at least like 7 years right

really love Wait Too Long, not terribly into Mountains but could see it quickly growing on me as most of Altogether did

Thought I was listening to Beach Fossils when Mountains started. Hot track.

Dig them both, first one is like a continuation of Altogether and the second one is a cool psychedelic thing I hope the album is more like. If a new album is coming because I hope so.

I like Wait Too Long, cool sound and a natural progression from the last album. I could barely pull myself off the floor after the coma I slipped into while trying to listen to Mountains.

WTL is definitely more my style. Mountains wasn't bad, I just don't want a whole album of that.

  19. Really not very into either of them but I prefer Mountains between the two

Wait Too Long is pretty cool but Mountains isn’t doing much for me.

Funny you thought that cause I was just thinking last night that a sound similar to BF’s Somersault would work well for Turnover. Still figuring out if these singles work for me though.

songs are fine (just like 90% of their stuff following PV). But I wish they would just bring in some unexpected element. Like a really heavy riff with his light vocals over it, shoegaze style, or some really off-kilter percussion a la Bombay Bicycle Club.

Every album after PV is better than PV

  25. I've given them all a shot, didn't hate any of it, but the only one I regularly come back to is PV
