Uhhh.... This is like some comic book villain shit. I have no idea how someone who acts like this could be in the industry so long, but of course, we thought the same things about Jack Barakat & Austin Carlile. This is horrendous, and the person who wrote it is clearly in a lot of anguish.

Admittedly, I'm inclined to be a little skeptical because it came from a burner account, but it feels so detailed and so high-effort that I can't imagine why anyone would make it up.

Heartbreaking shit. Hopefully they address it.

 

If it's true and they do address it, it's going to be framed around everyone being in a really bad mental state surrounding Swanfest/Tim's death, which is probably true, but it shouldn't relieve Tilian from taking full responsibility. I just don't think they'll take what most would think are appropriate measures with arguably their biggest tour ever coming up this summer.

 

I have no words. That story is terrifying and I know band is going through a lot but that doesn’t excuse rape.

 

I think they'll have to deny it all, because there's no way to verify any of it without inviting the obvious conclusion that Tilian is unfit for his platform

 

I mean no ones death justifies rape ever. Period. And if what she wrote is true then this is not the first time either. Hopefully we'll get to the end of this either way. Given the history of drama around Tilian and his numerous exes etc I do find this believable but still proof would be crucial here. Also really hope that the band mates are/were aware if true and would have acted on this? Furthermore when will people learn that no means fucking NO.

 

FWIW… the accuser is a very close friend of mine. While she’s remaining anonymous for the time being, she has proof. I won’t say more than I should right now but I figured I should say that.

Can we please not do this right now? I really don’t think my thoughts on that very complex case have any relevance here. I don’t want to make this about everything I’ve ever posted, just trying to spread awareness of this info. Really don’t care what you think about me one way or the other.

Yeah, you all are right. @beachdude I'm sorry. I have my own feelings regarding the way people are following that trial and I shouldn't have said anything about it, it's got nothing to do with this thread.

Definitely not the first time I’ve heard that Tilian has a “don’t give a shit” attitude. His “likes” on Twitter definitely lean towards that mindset.

 

Yeah, all of his lyrics are like "Everyone talks shit about me because I'm too edgy and redpilled" so this isn't at all surprising.

I'm pretty sure he's tweeted that the secret to not getting canceled is "never say what you really believe" which is a hell of a way to say you're a liar.

 

Him being edgy and having an attitude is not the takeaway here.

 

Also, Honey Revenge always read as a satire, but uhhh, idk these lyrics seem pretty sussy in hindsight:

"Can't wait to catch you all alone
Girl, then I swear I'll take you home
Whether you want it or not
Whether you like it or not"

 

Immediately thought of Honey Revenge when I read all that.
