  1. I've had Apple Music skip an entire song a few times, but it was always when I had bad connectivity (as I'm leaving the house and my phone is switching from wifi to cellular, for example) so I just always assumed that was the issue.

They fixed your brain when you were young.

Happens on cellular too. I'd thought this was what was happening initially, but when there are certain songs on certain albums that 100% always skip when they come around... I think that kind of debunked the theory for me.

I started using the native player in Marvis pro rather than Marvis pro leveraging the native music.app yesterday and it seems to be working without skipping. Only real bug, is on two different songs, the volume kind of felt like it was fluctuating.. annoying, but at least the song is playing...

I’ve only had Apple Music for like 2 weeks now, but I definitely haven’t experienced the issue people are talking about

For some reason, “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals stars skipping at the same part every time about 1:15 for me. Regardless if it’s downloaded or over internet.

  8. Delete from library and re-add to library maybe?

Seemed to work. Was weird because it still did it even after deleting and removing from my library but the re-add looks like it did the trick.

I also assumed that connectivity was the issue at first, but it happens at random whether the song is streamed or downloaded. I'd assume if it's stored locally on the device, connectivity shouldn't cause it to skip. Not sure though, maybe there's something going on behind the scenes that I don't fully understand

  11. could just be a damaged file regardless of stream or download which is why deleting and re-adding resolves it sometimes

I might have to just start reconstructing my library in that case, since I'd say any song has about a 1 in 10 chance of skipping. It's not always the same songs for me, and doesn't happen every time. It does seem to be weighted toward the beginning of albums though, although that might just be where I'm noticing it most.

My Apple Music loses connectivity to my phone all the time. I’ve had the skip issue. But more frequently if a playlist or station is playing and I skip a song I get an error and have to force close and restart

yeah it's worst for me in low signal areas outdoors but it does happen at home on good wifi occasionally. it does seem to happen more on the early tracks of albums

That falls inline with the rumours around their being a massive upgrade announcement for multitasking at WWDC.

Holy cow I had no idea the music skipping/stopping issue was so widespread. It’s been driving me nuts.

i had to sell my macbook air and buy an old windows one that is half broken. i find it surprisingly fast and good actually! however it seems more likely to break again and already has a virus, i suppose there are positives and negatives. it is much cheaper though, yet is also heavier.

  20. I’ve got about 18TB of content on a RAID at my place. A coworker in Toronto and a coworker in Pittsburg have clones of this so we can open shared adobe premiere projects without having to relink every time.
Now I wanna reorganize my master drive as I see how it could be more efficient since we’re working as a team. Anyone know a way for me to propagate my new folder structure to remote drives? It’ll be all the same content, just organized differently.
Currently looking to see if carbon copy cloner can do this or even an rsync terminal command but open to other tools if anyone has a tip.
    Thanks!

The screen on my phone is broken temporarily, so I've had to use my 6S for the last week. I still fucking hate Apple for dropping the headphone jack.

I honestly haven’t even thought about the headphone jack since it was removed. I’ll probably never buy a pair of wired headphones again

i just recently had to find a set of wired 9mm headphones for work and i was scrambling around my apartment trying to find an old pair. that was the first time in like 5 years i've even thought about a headphone jack.
