-Hawkins teamed up with Swoggle against El Torito and Underground Luchador (Matt Stryker). Woman behind me yelled, "Are you fucking kidding? Him?"
-Hawkins pinned Stryker
-Hawkins cut a promo about how "He is going to be so fucking rich" and said "Fuck Philly scum"
-FEED ME MORE hits
-Ryback stomps around and shell shocks Swoggle
-THE END

Other pointless run-ins all during Dreamer vs. Matt:
-Raven beat on Tommy
-Sandman beat up Raven
-Senior Benjamin and the Scribe kept running to the back to bring out weapons
-Vanguard 1 stopped Dreamer from putting Matt through a ladder (highlight of the match)
-Chastity(?) came out and beat up Reby
-Bubba stopped Matt from lighting Tommy on fire

So many damn ECW marks. Holy shit.

 

Also, during EVERY SINGLE MATCH there was a chant of "SUCK HIS DICK". Never change, Philly.

Pretty cool article from MMAfighting.com about Matt Riddle, where they compare his expierence of leaving UFC to become a pro wrestler with CM Punk leaving WWE to become an MMA fighter. They also touch a bit on Shayna Baszler 1/4th of the Four Horsewoman of MMA and one of Ronda Rousey's best friends who also recently made the jump to pro wrestling.

 

I'd really love it if Riddle could spark up the kind of revolution Angle and Shamrock did in the late nineties. We have guys all over wrestling the strong style, but I think the MMA stuff is so much more fascinating to watch. We see some people who have dabbled in it, but not really anyone trained professionally. I don't count Shinsuke or Lashley since the jumped in later.

Hopefully he can make the jump to NXT relatively quickly.

 

The bullshit TNA rumors are so good. Imagining a world where Vince owns that company seems like fun. The only issue I'd have is that they'd probably try and make the wrestlers exclusive and ruin any fun with indies.

 

During the honor rumble last night when Nick Jackson came out, he had two sheet pizzas: he passed out slices of the first one to the fans and then took the second one and smacked Silas Young. It was awesome.

I mentioned that I loved when he had matches with Moose and he seemed bummed that they don't get to have at it anymore.

 

Watching the Emmys, and the theme about diversity in TV got me thinking about diversity in pro wrestling, which made me realize that when it comes to diversity I think ROH and LU do it better than any other promotion.

ROH does get a demerit though for hiding their great Women's division away in relative obscurity and pretty much having their show be segregated by gender. But they do push black and asian wrestlers more than any other American promotion.

 

I'll never understand the divide with Women of Honor. Or the fact that they still don't have a belt. Or the fact that Veda Scott is on commentary 90% of the time. lol. The guy who calls with her is annoying as fuck too.

I wish Lucha would try and steal some NOAH guys for next season.

 

They could scoop up NOAH guys and have them do an invasion angle.... call it... NOAH's arc... kill me... I deserve it.

 

Dario Cueto could make that pun and the crowd would love it.
