These finales always feel rushed to me. I’d take a whole extra reunion hour of them all meeting each other, that’s the funnest part of the show.

 

Haven't watched the finale yet, but other than the Spice Girls twist, this generally feels like the weakest season yet of The Circle. The personalities are underwhelming other than Frank and Alex/Nathan (I'm a fan of his conniving little shit), and half the cast annoys me. I think it'd be a lot more enjoyable if people were playing tactically as opposed to it being a lovefest as a whole, but I know that's just a matter of preference.

 

I enjoyed this season a lot. I agree with the winner too. The finale was super rushed though. They should’ve played at least one more challenge before the final votes.

 

Had to cancel the watch party due to covid making its way into my friend group, so I just put it on tonight. Got through maybe 15 minutes before just fast forwarding to the part where the finalists meet up, and then had to fast forward past that because I was not matching Yu Ling’s energy lol. The end was fine. I don’t think Frank was a particularly strong player, but I liked him more than any of the other finalists and he made me laugh the most this season

 

I said this last season, but I think they need to pick the winner based on something else other than just a final ranking

 

I think they need to:

1. have everyone in on day 1. New players are at a huge disadvantage and I don’t think in general bringing in new players does much to really change the game.

2. way more catfishes. It’s not really interesting to watch two people being themselves shooting the shit, but when you have someone faking being someone completely different is when the show is at its most entertaining.

 

I’m not reading any other posts in this thread because I don’t know if there’s spoilers in here that aren’t spoiler tagged, but I just started S4 and… was there always swearing in this show? lol doesn’t bother me one bit, but the first fuck caught me off guard and I can’t remember if that was always a thing or not

 

I loved Yu Ling’s energy haha

 

Me too lol, she was my favorite from this season for sure.

 

She seems nice and played a great game, just found her kind of exhausting. I have a tough time with people who are that loud and animated, and unfortunately because this is television she just never really turned it off

 

Also idk about no new players but yeah they should for sure cut that off after week 2. I like the wild card aspect of how a new player can throw off the power balance of alliances, but when they come in too late it does kinda feel like we’re taking time getting to know them that could be used to show us more interesting details instead

 

I just liked that for once people suspected others as catfish and didn’t care. Like why would pretending to be someone else instantly mean we gotta get them out. That’s not the point of the game

 

Totally, I think that’s kinda what made me like Bru a lot. Openly admitting admitting to viewers from the solitude of his apartment that he didn’t really care that Carol was obviously a catfish as long as it gave him numbers. Really bummed me out that most players felt the opposite so strongly that he looked bad to them just by association. So much so that Rachel even thought he was sus for simply explaining his mindset when Carol was blocked lol

 

Just finished this, thought this was the best season yet. I was rooting for the winner from the first episode on, so I was very glad to see them win. Loved the virus twist, and the Spice Girls thing was a lot of fun, but I admittedly was ready for it to be over by the time it finished.

I’ll watch another hundred seasons of this show.

Don’t really agree with new players being at a major disadvantage. The last two to come in ended up in the finale. I think the show would get boring pretty quick if you stopped introducing new players after the first couple of episodes.

I do agree they need to come up with a better way to decide a winner, and that the finale felt a little rushed.

 

Yeah, I would too. This is my girlfriend and I’s comfort show. It’s nice that most contestants are nice (it’s fun when they’re conniving too) and it’s fun to pause and talk about the social dynamics/etc.

 

I like getting new players later into the season. If you had like, 12 players from the very start I think the early eliminated ones would become incredibly forgettable. Yeah, new players are at a disadvantage... but the game aspect is only part of what makes the show fun so I don't really care its not fair to the new players, at least this way you're never overwhelmed by people

 

I don’t think new players are at a disadvantage at all. Two of them made it to the final 5, one was the runner up. The people on this show are just dumb and their rankings often make no sense. Frank was incredibly popular player all season, and in no logical world should people be ranking him high at the end of the show lol

 

Late to the convo about catfishes, but yeah it always bothers me when players are dead set on eliminating catfishes, when really what does it matter.
If they really wanna make it that kind of game, they should make new rules like every time they correctly eliminate a catfish the prize fund goes up X amount of dollars, but if they incorrectly deem someone a catfish the prize fund goes down.

 

Interesting, seems they’re adding a dating aspect to this season

 

So ready for another season of this
