I didn't follow the Laroche thing all that closely but he signed a contract that included his son being able to be in the clubhouse and then one day they're just like yeah..we're not going to uphold that part of the contract and you can deal with it. Right? That's pretty fucked up regardless of anyone's personal opinion on the matter.

Nope, never was in the contract. It was a verbal agreement.

 

Whatever, probably better to have Melky in the lineup from day to day than LaRoche anyhow

 

I love the part of the whole story about how sexist he is. He has a daughter and it's like whatever she can be normal. Only my son can be around me all the time. And I don't care what my wife thinks, it's more important for our son to be around baseball players.

Honestly if I was in that kids position Id care more about playing than watching him play. 14 is HS age so shouldn't he be at least on JV?

Their pitching looks like it could be pretty good. I always liked Chris sale. Plus you guys picked up Todd Fraizer which I think will be great. Idk, I always have a soft spot for the underdogs haha. It would be cool to see them surprise everyone in that division.

I know everyone is talking about Cleveland's starting rotation but Im more of in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category when it comes to that.

 

Same here. They've made some good moves, interested to see how that plays out.

 

Tyler White and the Crawford Boxes are going to be magnificent

Crazy there hasn't been a reason for optimism opening day with this team since 2005, but its finally arrived again

hopefully that SI cover doesn't jinx Kuechel, Correa or Altuve

 

Lackey can still be good when he decides he wants to be there. I hated him in Boston until he won me over with his performance in the 2013 playoffs and WS.

I also think Lester has son gas left in the tank, we will see though. As a lifelong Red Sox fan I enjoy the Cubs a lot because I like Theo Epstien when he was the GM in Boston, so I wish the best for him in Chicago.

 

I think they both are/were good. But they are at the decline of their careers and some players it happens faster than others. You just never know.

 

I'll always view Lester as a big game pitcher after 2013. I'd hope he could get the Cubs there. Assuming the Sox don't win this year.

 

Yeah I'm really pulling for the Sox of course. Id love Ortiz to finish with a monster season. But if it's not them if love for it to be the Cubs

 

I can't wait for his farewell tour is over. He was the face of the most the team with annoying fan are during their height.

 

Just look at his stats the last 3 seasons. It's almost creepy how consistent he's been.

I feel pretty good going into this season, but I felt the same way last year. Baseball's a funny game sometimes. Frankly I'm just glad that Tyler Flowers is gone, he was such garbage.

 

Jonah Keri is going to be working for Sportsnet this season for their Blue Jays' coverage. Dope

 

Yeah. I'd love it to be more like 2012 or 2013 than the last two years. When we blow and he's the only one that can get runs in, his average dips and he hits like 8 more homers because he's just trying to win it all the time. But I'd love to see him go out with a well-rounded season like we've seen him do so many times.

 

I love Jose Quintana. So underrated.

 

I would totally love another 2013, that whole season was something. I'd love it if we can stay healthy especially Bucholz, I'd love him to have the season he was having in 13 again.

 

I'm so done with hoping or expecting anything for Clay at this point

 

This still haunts me.

 

Excited about dedicating 2+ hours a night to watch my Rays on a regular basis again.
