This is a hot take, or maybe its not, but do you think the guys regret their kind of partnership with The Used? The Used was the band that got me into this scene (July 2002, I'll never forget it, I was only 13), and they were my favourite band for those years, and meant the most to me, but the older I've gotten, the more of a tool I've thought Bert was. He just seems pretty insufferable whenever I've seen him live or in interviews.

Gerard just seems like a genuinely good dude, and never comes across as an arrogant dickhead - same for the rest of the band.. I mean Ray ffs. Seems like such a nice chill dude. They just seem like an unlikely combo (You Know What They Do.., Under Pressure, etc). I know the relationship between the two bands broke down, so maybe that answers my question. But yeah, I just look back at the period and regret it for them.

I don’t think there’s regrets, MCR just blew up and left The Used in the dust. The falling out was due to Gerard getting sober AND Bert being an asshole lol. But they’ve since made up but I don’t think we’ll be seeing them tour together anytime soon.

I wonder if they just have the one song they recorded and that was it. Or if Frank was just told to keep it secret for now.

 

It could go either way honestly. This is the bonus round for MCR, so all of this is extra to me. The fact that we have new music at all is incredible, not to mention how amazing these shows have seemed on this tour so far.

 

I'd be kinda surprised if they don't end up putting out an album but I also wouldn't expect Frank to bring it up in an IG post before it's announced.

 

Looking at the Spotify stream numbers for Three Cheers and it's crazy that Hang 'Em High is the second least streamed song on the album besides Interlude.

That "DON'T STOPPPPPP" when the instruments drop out besides the guitar is peak MCR.
