Well, I was sure surprised to see the Mets score this morning after going to bed when it was 8-2. Glad I didn't stay up to get my hopes up.

the cool thing about last night is it doesnt matter if they lost 13-12 or 8-2, a loss is just 1 in the column. i absolutely love seeing that theyre coming back in these games, there have been multiple examples. this game, the phillies comeback, the cardinals comeback, these are all games they 110% lose last year. sucks that the bullpen/diaz blew it, but, thats gonna happen. get the series W today.

Very curious to see what Szapucki has today. Former top prospect who looked awful in the one MLB game he pitched last year, but has been very good this year. I'm not overly optimistic about a series win today, but the Mets do have a way of getting really, really good results from pitchers who you wouldn't think would be all that great. Either way, you can obviously tolerate only winning one of three against a team like the Giants when two of your starters were in AAA less than a week ago

How Francisco Lindor ranks in the league among SS:

    HR: 2
    RBI: 2
    Runs: 1
    OPS: 5
    Slugging: 5

    but he sucks, right guys

He's been more or less as advertised since June 1 of last year. His stats were basically tanked for the entirety of last year because of those poor first two months and it doesn't help that there are so many SS who hit really well these days, but you're basically looking at 5 WAR player over 162 games, which is perfectly fine for his contract. I think there might be even more there though and hope we're seeing a bit of a breakout over the last few days

  24. FWIW, Jasson has done that before, I think it scrubs on a timer.

Saw some social media post he was pulled after fouling something off his leg, but unsure.
