Even more shocking is that I'm learning right now Patrick Fabian was Professor Laskey on Saved By The Bell: The College Years.

Totally forgot Kim knew he was alive. That can’t be sitting well. Also the cockroach leading him to Jimmy.

God as soon as I saw the cockroach I was like “ah. So this is when he re-enters Jimmy’s life again” and then when Howard was at the door I was like “oh man I hope Howard doesn’t do anything rash becau - oh no. Oh wait, no -“

And then that shadow behind him fell and I just felt sick.

Maybe I’m reading too much into the promo for the final 6 episodes but the promo showed 5 different suits then a polo with a visor. So maybe 5 BCS episodes and then the final is all Gene?

Between Better Call Saul, Barry and Atlanta, we are currently having one of the best months in television history.

as soon as I saw Lalo walk in the room at the end, I knew that Howard was about to die

I’ve been thinking about this version of Jimmy still being far from early BB Saul but I can make it make sense now. He could really become anyone after that

    hmmm

As soon as Mike told Kim however many episodes ago that it was very unlikely that Lalo would come back to their place, we should have been expecting it. I didn't even think about it though until his silhouette emerged, Psycho-style, to the left of shot. Come to think of it, the underneath shower head shot from the start of the episode was very Psycho too. I wonder if there was anything else?

Glad Howard got his speech in there at the end. I guess any time someone gives a defiant moral speech to their persecutors this season we should be expecting a bullet through their head within a minute.

As for the rest of the episode – I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with this show than when their stupid plan started working. I wasn't far from turning it off when I saw Kim's smug face in response to Howard's interruption. What I will say though is as silly and pointless as the plan was, and as fortuitous it was for Kim and Jimmy that it worked, I think the basic inanity of it makes some sense in light of the ending; the morality tale of the destructive effects of feeding your moral vices, even those vices you try to justify or think you can control (particularly in Kim's case) has been a theme most prominently in BB but also very much in BCS, and that was a pretty resounding way to hammer that home.
