This is pretty much where I'm at with Stef (and also Tom from Chelsea Grin while we're at it, since he just announced today he won't be on their Canada dates). Like Stef is big dumb for all the vaccine and flat Earth shit, but it's not going to stop me from listening to the music or seeing them live. I guess it's not my line in the sand. If he was doing something like abusive or just outright morally awful that would be another story.

 

Feel this. Being an idiot is inoffensive, music still rocks.

 

Yeah, having dumb views and conspiracy theories is annoying but not a dealbreaker for me. But if you are a racist or a homophobe or something, that is definitely more of a dealbreaker for me.

 

I live 20 minutes from Daytona and have plenty of pissed off friends that were at Rockville this weekend. They really need to have it earlier in the year to avoid the Florida rainy season.

 

last nights headliners got canceled due to weather as well. Literally no headliners have played at this festival.

 

It seems Kiss played on Thursday night, but still pretty shitty situation going on over there. Lets see what happens tonight with NIN

 

I actually forgot they had Thursday night. Also realized that a large chunk of the day was canceled outright due to storms as well. Feel bad for everyone who paid money to attend this one.

 

Rockville deleted all the weather delay stuff from thsi weekend on their socials this morning, they're trying to minimize the outrage and refund demands

 

I mean they do say they are rain/shine events. That’s for all outdoor venues and festivals so…

Yeah people are going to be SOL with refunds probably, but it’s still a crappy thing to have happen. Nobody can predict thunderstorms so the rain/shine stuff doesn’t really even apply, but the website does specifically say no refunds in the case of cancellations due to weather. Patrons end up losing out on the experience instead of the event organizers losing money. Not a good look cut that’s the live industry in a nuthshell.

My friend went to see Bright Eyes tonight and apparently Conor was too drunk to perform and left after 2 songs. The band then had fans come up to perform songs then announced fans would be refunded lol

 

Oof... Hope Conor is ok. I was lucky he performed without issues at the Chicago show

 

Ooof he was pretty drunk at the Indy show a few months ago. Hope he’s all good.
