listening to Air for Free at the moment and it's mostly so good. I really love a lot of the sounds they played with on here.

 

I actually think it's my second favourite at this point and if I could trim it down a bit it would rival Forget and Not Slow Down.

Hard to believe that was their last album and it's been more than 5 years. We used to be so spoiled getting a new album or EP every year

 

Right?! The wait between Collapsible Lung and AFF felt sooooo long. And now it's been almost twice the length haha.

 

I pretty much consider AFF and FANSD to both be my favorite, depending on the day.

I want new RK music more than anything haha

 

What was the deal with that album? What was the uproar?

Short answer: the singer (Seth) posted a TON of really upsetting/uninformed/damaging things on his social pages, and the lyrics of the album reflect it.

 

I think over the years I've concluded mmhmm is my favorite of theirs ignoring nostalgia. Anatomy and Two Lefts have a lot of nostalgia but I do think I return to them less. Forget and Air For Free are so great, they are right up there.

Five Scores remains my least favorite. Went through the discography a ton this winter/spring and basically cemented that I just don't enjoy that album as a whole, only a select few songs with the majority being "fine".

Love that their being more active lately. Hopefully new music soon.

He discusses his yet-to-be-released pedal, LVL, for the first time in that article. It's meant to recreate the guitar tones of FANSD, whereas the DRV does that for the tone on mmhmm.

 

I just recently got a standard colorway one in trade, really love it.

That was a really cool listen, nice trip down memory lane of a song/album/band that has meant so much.

I haven't listened to Chris' podcast before but definitely going to check out the older episodes

 

Wish this was on a different pod than Chris's.

He's got some allegations against him and also gave Chris Conley a platform even after it was shown he's an abuser.

 

Someone on the Relient K subreddit said Air Fir Free is getting a repress soon.

This is red alert time for me, if this goes up and I miss it I’ll be devastated

 

I feel like I stopped paying attention and missed something, because I thought all their records were....readily available on vinyl haha. I think I actually have accidental doubles of some, like mmhmm

 

Most are available and get reprints reasonably regularly, I just haven't seen one for AFF yet and I stupidly missed out when it released (although how was I to know it would become my favourite album of all time)
