Cause most democrats don’t care what’s happening. How can they fundraise if they fix problems??

late to this, I haven’t yet. I’m super immunosuppressed and work in an ER with a brand new kidney. I worked through the last huge surge. I’m hoping my 3x full Moderna+booster do the trick. The great news is, atleast locally for me, the patients we do have that are positive are not getting hospitalized.

another day, another psycho yelling at me for enforcing the masks. “I have a medical exemp” (stopped her right there) we’ll ma’am this is a healthcare facility and they’re required. She tried to go the “well IL doesn’t have a mask mandate” route. She eventually put one on to go see her adult son in an ER room…fuck that medical expemption, huh?

It’s funny to me that Dr. Oz apparently was a brilliant surgeon before he got famous. I have a friend who told me he saved her grandmother’s life performing emergency heart surgery for a very complicated disorder. Her grandmother was so upset when she recognized him on tv shilling nonsense medicine & science a few years later!

Welp after a good two year run I just tested positive for the first time. I feel pretty much fine, just a stuffy nose so far but I figured this was inevitable since someone on the work trip I was on tested positive immediately after returning home. As long as the symptoms don’t get too much worse I’m honestly kind of relieved to get this out of way before my wedding in July assuming new variants don’t jeopardize the 3 month immunity thing in the meantime. That said 3/9 people who were on the trip so far are positive, won’t shock me if the number is everyone by end of the weekend.

Flying from Boston to California for a wedding on Thursday morning and very afraid of catching COVID. Like, what do I do if I test positive while I'm out there and can't fly back home?

I’ve been so worried about the same thing and man am I relieved to be home before the positive. My friend was saying it happened to an acquaintance of ours, but they had bought some kind of trip insurance that covered their quarantine hotel stay. Not sure about the truth to that but might be worth looking into.

I mean I don't you'd test positive that quickly unless you're gonna be there for a while. Most say 3 to 5 days after exposure or up to a week.

Def, and at least in my circle of friends/work/immediate family this is the biggest wave yet. But of that group, no one has had it very bad and the worst part has been <2 days for everyone. So we’re lucky enough where it’s been a greater question of timing and convenience than health. Glad for the vax

  22. It really does seem like a lot of people getting it right now are people saying “I went 2 years and finally got it”

I wonder how many times I've had COVID.

I officially tested positive for it in February of 2021 - a few weeks before I was scheduled to get my first dose. Mostly felt fine. Felt like an intense sinus infection for 2-3 days for me. Losing my sense of smell for a week (luckily just a week) was the worst part about it for me.

Other than that though, I've had at least 4 illnesses on top of that since February of 2020 where I was way more sick - for a good 5-7 days - but never actually tested positive. I'm convinced at least two of those times was COVID because my entire family was sick as well, and we all had about every symptom you could imagine during the week. I don't think the at-home tests are that accurate, or more importantly, maybe I'm not doing them right? or maybe the timing isn't right? A lot can go wrong with the tests, imo.

Also, as a sufferer from life-long, year-long allergies, I am always coughing, sneezing, congested, etc. So...fun stuff!
