That was a hell of a show. They need to blow up asap. In The Wake of Your Leave live was everything I hoped it would be.

Yeah, that was one of the most communal and uplifting concerts I’ve been to in a long time. Officially one of my top 5 bands now.

weird crowd experience though lol. 3 people passed out right next to me and my Dad, and one guy just stopped in front of us, clapped his hands together and….literally dived into the ground like he was jumping into a pool

Was that the one they stopped the show for? Also second the weird crowd vibes lol

Yup, happened right behind us. Felt really bad, their s/o was clearly distraught and they took forever to get an EMT over. Luckily they came to before they got carried out of the venue. Still scary though.

The setlist for last night has something unknown listed, do yall Brooklyn people know what it was?

Tonight at the Philly show the venue had to “cancel” it due to a technical issue. So Dave played an acoustic set for over an hour with the violinist - great consolation prize!

Also they played 2 covers but I didn’t know either in case it’s related to the above post.

It was "Bird on the Wire" by Leonard Cohen...and I don't believe they played a second cover unless I'm misremembering.

Such a bizarre experience…doors at 7, we got there at 8 to a line around the block and an alarm going off inside the building, by like 9 there was a thousandish people outside the venue…the guy in front of me in line collapsed and an ambulance had to come…I somehow got into an “argument" with a bartender (I got a free water and with the approval of one bartender dropped a $20 in the tip bucket and pulled out 3 $5s but another bartender came over and slapped my hands and yelled at me) and then the show was like an informal set with Q&As throughout.

Things I can remember that we learned about Dave:
    • His favorite color is black
    • The “awesome” thing his brother Matthew did referenced in “brothers” was beat up a cop
    • He stumped hard for U2 and harder for Counting Crows. His favorite CC song is “Angels of the Silences” and it’s ok if people don’t like CC it just means he won’t be mates with them.

Can't believe I haven't popped in here yet.

Angel didn't hit for me right away... but once it did it really did. Album of the year for me, and I would say their best yet.

Goal of the Century always gives me chills

I realize this comment is kind of a meme for discussing these "larger than life" sort of bands but I'm gonna say it anyways.

Would love to hear them produced by Eno/Langlois lol.

Showed up and it was sold out but apparently, someone bought six tickets to give away so we got free tickets. Absolutely phenomenal.

I'm the one who asked him what his brother did! Ha small world. Incredible one-of-a-kind show!

On a big Go Farther In Lightness binge today. Totally different vibes from Angel, but god damn is it good.
