I don't think I'm going to come back to this one like I do with Young Pilgrim and Long Road Home, but it's an enjoyable enough listen.

 

Yeah, like my earlier post reflects, I miss the guitar this time around, but Young Pilgrim and Long Road Home were fairly different, so it's not too surprising this is a departure from those. It definitely seems like he did more songwriting on the piano than the guitar this time around.

 

yeah I think it's a cool sound, it's fun to see him still exploring new ground musically.

 

By the time the album was released Charlie had already released more than half of it as singles. Good album but it already feels quite familiar because I've been listening to some of these songs for over a year lol

 

Yeah that's why I tried to not listen to the singles much, haha. I think I'd heard I See You like 5 times, Blameless and One of Us like 3/4 and then Twice, Good to Love and All the Best I only checked out once.

 

After hearing 'My Thoughts' and 'Lying that you love me', i was surprised 'Lying that you love me' was left off as its fantastic.

I see !! That explains that then. I will have to have a listen to the original aswell as i really love the song

 

can’t believe I’m a year late in learning young pilgrim is back on streaming, man I love this record!
