Apparently the urgent care near me now allows people in the waiting room if they have COVID symptoms. They only need to wait in the car if they have a positive test result. There's two screaming kids running in circles coughing their brains out and their mother is also coughing and keeps pulling her mask down. Guess I'm gonna finally catch COVID unless this surgical mask protects me. I complained to the desk and they're just letting me sit in my car to wait.

I understand supply shortages are happening etc etc but why baby formula specifically? Are the inputs hard to get? Is there like one manufacturer? What's the deal there?

The Democrats are hoarding all the baby formula for themselves in order to feed all their child trafficking victims

 

I haven't bought formula in three years so not sure of the prices these days but I had to get the stomach sensitive kind which is more expensive than the normal. And this is just anecdotal but a lot of people in my bubble have kids that can't take breast milk and require the sensitive stomach formula. Maybe it's nothing but maybe it's some weird evolutionary thing.

 

tldr there aren't a ton of American formula factories, and one was shut down due to bacterial concerns, and the FDA tries to dissuade foreign baby formula

I miss high school because compared to the responsibilities of adulthood it was fucking easy lol. Yeah it feels hard at the time but compared to this whole “need to work to pay the bills” and “figure out all of your own meals”…sheesh.

there are worse things than being in a building full of 500-1000 people your age 5 days a week (and, depending on your sexual preference, 500-1000 people be possibly be attracted to), playing organized sports for free, and being at the general height of your physical abilities.
