Just saw them in Dallas. The entire floor was moving the whole show. Good times.

It's called Amplified Live, FKA Gas Monkey Bar & Grill and before that Firewater.

It's just a restaurant with a big back patio for show and a smaller indoor stage as well. It has a little pond right next to it. Pretty cool environment. I highly recommend the venue in general but for sold out shows it can be a little cramped. I've only had capacity issues like 3-4 times out of seeing literally hundreds of shows there though.

I think the last show I saw there was August Burns Red on one of their album anniversary shows. Was plenty of room.

Yeah most shows are fine. There just wasn't really any room to move (independently from the rest of the crowd) last night. And if you went to the bathroom or to get a drink, you had to reenter from the back of the crowd and it was nearly impossible to get through and back into the front/pit area. I think Suicidal Tendencies, Jinjer and Phil Anselmo doing a full Pantera set were the only other times I've felt overly crowded.

I saw a drunk as fuck Chris Conley put on a show there in 2018/2019, definitely a memory.

I’ve got four tickets to the show on Saturday in KC I’m trying to get rid of, DM me if you’d be interested!

Seeing them tn in Milwaukee sold out at I think the biggest GA venue in the city? Not even the Deftones show there later this month is sold out. Wild shit

I’d be very curious to see the total sales numbers for this record. Struggling to think of the last hardcore record to go gold.

    Probably something like Hatebreed?

I was doubtful but you might be right. Looks like their second record sold approx 250k by 2004, might be close to gold now

Saw them in Atlanta on Monday and was a great show, whole place was moving the entire time. Packed house for sure.

bumping this not for Turnstile, but to see if anyone has good recs for rock music this year. I consistently have trouble finding new rock bands/albums that I am really into anymore, but last year was a big one for me (Turnstile, Dirty Nil, Foxing) and now that we're almost halfway into the year.... what's good this year? What did I miss?

    A Wilhelm Scream
    Cold Years
The Stereo's new album also bangs harder than I expected

Nice, I'm definitely into the Wilhelm Scream album, not really sold on Cold Years yet... his voice isn't my favorite, but I honestly don't know anything about The Stereo, have seen people talk about it, so maybe I should

If you want specific heavier songs, "Long, Long Time" and "The Shelter & The Storm" are the heaviest on the new album!

It’s all been pretty heavy stuff for me so far this year. Greyhaven, Rolo Tomassi, and Underoath. Stuff with a little more emo tinge is Anxious and Glacier Veins. The next month plus will rule though, I’m anticipating Valleyheart, Joyce Manor, Coheed, Emery, The Dear Hunter, Satyr, and Dance Gavin Dance. Not sure if that helps or not, just what’s been on my radar for rock/metal so far this year.

Soul Glo is the most essential album I've heard this year in the same wheelhouse as turnstile
