I was curious to find out if Wicked Wisdom was even still a thing, and apparently they just reunited last year to perform one of their songs with her daughter Willow on Mother's Day. That's about it though.

On a related note, today I finally put together that the Willow who last year released Lately I Feel Everything and the song "Transparent Soul" is the same Willow who is also Will and Jada Smith's daughter who is also therefore the same Willow who in 2010 released the song "Whip My Hair". Making these connections has blown my mind so badly I've gone cross-eyed.

 

I watched Grandma’s Boy for the first time ever the other night and I can’t help but feel that Lana Wachowski has seen it and had a spark of inspiration for game developer Neo because of it.

Of course, I would love for The Wachowskis to make another movie, but I'm sure this being another bomb will make it harder for Lana to return again.

However, it does feel like a swan song, and her body of work speaks for itself if this really is the end.

 

I should probably give Speed Racer (and Jupiter Ascending) a go

 

Did this bomb though? I assumed the streaming numbers must have been pretty big (unless I'm mistaken)

 

Speed Racer's a masterpiece so def watch that.

Jupiter Ascending your milage may vary. I can't really defend that one but I do admire it

 

other than starring Emile Hirsch, Speed Racer is very good

Jupiter Ascending is not the best movie ever but is better than its reputation

 

I was so deeply bored by Jupiter Ascending.

 

John Goodman beating up a ninja in Speed Racer and saying “more like a non-ja” is one of the hardest laughs I’ve ever had in a theater tbh

 

all I know is Cloud Atlas is great

 

Speed Racer and Jupiter ascending are both bad.

 

Jupiter is fine, I loved Speed Racer at the time, Cloud Atlas is wonderful.

 

I have about an hour left to finish tonight but I'm loving this even more than the first time

 

If you give into the sheer absurdity of what you’re watching, Jupiter Ascending is a very fun escape from reality
