Both of the new songs are so gorgeous. He's such an emotive singer and these really showcase that

 

Saw The Carousel Tour in Milwaukee last night. Even performed as a trio, the 2 new songs ripped.

 

Was it Anthony, Keith and Tim?

 

I can’t wait for this record. So hyped. Love the 2 new tracks. His creative energy is off the charts right now between this and new circa

 

The headliners are Anthony, Tim Kasher and Laura Jane Grace but they shared the same bassist and drummer (that’s what I meant by trio). Then the other headliners would come out to play on whatever songs the current performer wanted them on.

 

Oh I didn't know they were all sharing a banking band, smart and cool move. Do you know who the bassist and drummer are? That's who I thought Keith and Tim would be

 

Bassist is Megan Siebe (Cursive’s cellist) but I don’t know who the drummer was.

I can’t get over how good Don’t Dance is.

 

Oh man, did not hear about this but I recognize that name from the Avalon demos. Have also not heard Fuckin Whatever. Looks like it's time to get back into the Green man.

 

Saw the NJ Stone Pony show. It was very very very cool but also definitely the strangest set from Anthony I've ever seen. The whole vibe was very different for his solo stuff, and while he was incredible, he seemed really restrained and maybe less confident? It reminded me of seeing him tour Avalon in 2008. Just a really unpredictable set and lots of nervous energy. Not complaining at all, just to me it seemed obvious that he is struggling to get back into the swing of things,

The drummer was Alex Kerns from Lemuria! Love that guy

I could be forgetting some idk. It seems like he's changing it up a little every night for this tour. NJ was definitely a little leaner than some other dates so far from what I can tell. He's playing circa and fuckin' whatever songs apparently.

 

Anthony posted the Riot Fest line-up and tagged LS Dunes in it. A Google brings up nothing other than the Riot Fest line-up, and the insta.

Not sure what side-project it is of his?

 

I wonder if its Fuckin Whatever but more formal?

Interesting you say that, TSOAF is the other artist to like the post on the LSD insta, of which there are only 150~ likes. Seems odd it'd be a secret set though? They're not that big, but yeah.

 

Nah, it's not a secret set, it's 100% a new project

 

This is going to be his best album.

 

The show last night was fun. Smaller crowd than I thought there would be though... maybe 100 people there?

 

Finally catching up on this and Don't Dance fucking rules, wow

 

Yeah both new singles are great. I revisited the last two solo LPs and enjoyed those more than I recalled, too. I also had no idea Circa put out a new EP this year, so I'm swimming in Anthony Green content this morning lol.

Fuckin' Whatever is not really my thing, but it is interesting!

 

oh man definitely listen to both the recent Circa EPs if you haven't heard the other one either. they're both unbelievable
