I am very into basically everything this band has done. I’m down for whatever they want to do.

Into it, was super worried that they were going to finally release an LP I didn't like, so very relieved.

This doesn’t entirely work for me, but I think I like what they’re going for, and at least it’s only two minutes long. I think it’d work well as an album opener. My biggest gripe is the repetition of a couple lines - just a very unnecessary production choice imo.

  11. I like this a lot for them gotta say!

I am just feeling overly critical this morning. It is a cool little track and I will never not loving hearing Ben Gibbard’s voice.

Not blown away by the new single, but I liked their last album a lot after being underwhelmed by "Gold Rush."

Completely agree. It’s not my favorite album of theirs by any stretch but it’s an enjoyable listen.

Yeah, this is going to be divisive. I love that this band has been around so long that there are so many different albums that were the first to bring in a fan.

I'm old, so I've been on board since The Photo Album, and have basically been done with the band (though thrilled they are still going and people still dig their output) post Narrow Stairs. I'm kind of guessing those who are older like me kind of share the same sentiment of being less than into the band for quite some time.

However, I must say, I really like this track. It's the first that has really connected since No Room in Frame. And, yeah, I'm hoping this album is a sharp left turn for the band.

excited for new music but i don't like that it took half the song before the drums even really kicked in.

Personally, I think you’re missing out if you haven’t really listened to at least Kintsugi. I’m likely around your age, left the band for a bit during Narrow Stairs and Codes and Keys, but came back to enjoy everything since.

Also try to catch them every time they come through. Their live show is great. I wouldn’t have gotten that Transatlanticism 15th anniversary show otherwise.

I think the odds of them making my favorite album of theirs at this point are nonexistent, but Thank You For Today was my favorite of their 2010s records.

Need to listen a second time not in a noisy office in one earphone, but i like them trying something new.

Yeah, I probably listened to Kintsugi five times before just giving up on it. I mean, I don't think it's terrible or anything, but it just doesn't click for me. It's been a while, though, so it may be worth revisiting.

I think it’s Kintsugi for me but I can support TYFT being it, too. Wish it was slightly longer.
