Horizon is just another Ubisoft-like open world game.

 

I'm still extremely wary of spending $60 on Elden Ring because I don't think I'll like the difficulty

Not really, you can pretty much become obscenely overlevelled just by exploring. If you follow my guide from the FromSoft thread you should have no problem with any of the obstacles.

 

Sorry, it was more of a joke on the people who say that something is easy if you get good at it. Like, no shit? In that case nothing is hard, lol.

I get what you mean though. That's basically what I did. I overleveled for the end stretch and for Miquella I used Rivers of Blood. And that's what made able to beat the game.

 

I think a lot of games are harder than Dark Souls (haven’t played ER) or have higher difficulty spikes because, unlike Sark Souls, they are unfair. Dark Souls really isn’t.

 

lmao plenty of bullshit in these games bro, some stuff literally just exists to fuck with you and you have no recourse without prior knowledge. It's weirdly masochistic at times, almost like the devs get a kick out of pranking you, which can be especially unnerving given the stakes.

 

Yeah but those things are like jump scares, one and done. Maybe I should instead say that they aren’t hard because the game is just badly designed in places, unlike other games.

even my "I am terrible at video games" friends have beat it. You can play it in a way that is challenging, but if you LEVEL YOUR VIGOR and use summons it's easily the easiest FROM game.

 

Yes it’s the easiest from game but telling someone whos on the fence about it because they dont like the challenges from games bring, ‘oh its an easy game’ is such a misdirecting statement bruh lol

You just described literally every major Jrpg. It is what it is, except at least the "grinding" in Elden Ring is exploring and not repetitively getting into the same 3-4 fights.
