Ticket prices are really getting crazy. Was just gonna pick up a ticket for Rufus Du Sol in Toronto, $175 CAD after Ticketmaster fees for a 15k capacity GA venue. That’s truly insanity.

Looked at tickets for Incubus in Syracuse and $119 after fees for a seat in the pavilion. For a band that has veryyyy minimal live production that price is wild.

Def going to re-evaluate headline shows and maybe just do 1 or 2 festivals this summer. The value just isn’t there for a headline show right now.

Somehow pit tickets for stadium shows have gotten to the $200-300 range. These tickets were like $90 before COVID.

SZA might have the best agent in the business. She is billed over Kacey and Paramore off of one album, which she toured the same show on for 3 years. Kudos to her.

The hip hop and rock on this is pretty bad. ACL, come for the talkers and blankets, stay for your mom's playlist.

would not being able to headline over sum 41 be a consequence? Like they do have careers but I think they were gunning for the mainstream with people like phinneus and now I think they just have to be direct support fodder

 

My GA floor ticket via Citi presale for Arcade Fire came out to $173 (yes, for ONE ticket) so...yeah...this is here to stay.

 

They wouldn’t have headlined over them in Canada anyway.
