Not even the Riot Fest lineup could get me to go to an Eve6 show lol

I wonder if Riot could pull off a White Stripes reunion. I highly doubt it but that would be a significantly draw as a headliner than Jack alone. As odd as that is.

16 hours ago riot fest tweeted “Now that the @RuidoFest lineup is out I guess we should probably do the same...”

Im guessing we get it sometime next week

Or they are just taking the piss out of everyone. It's not announced until it's announced. Earlier than later would be preferred but I'll just wait to get excited/disappointed once it's announced.

Arcade Fire are out as a dark horse third headliner, Chicago show in November which also takes out Beck.. also will be in Europe on the weekend of Riot

I think it's almost always been on a Wednesday which means May 11 or May 18 very likely

all I know is that I am not doing another mock

This takes a few pop-punk bands out of the mix. Particularly bummed that it takes Grumpster out of the running.

Action Adventure can headline over Like Pacific?!

I think that's just in Chicago. The tour poster Grumpster poster has Like Pacific listed as headliner (but I went with the Riot Fest one for obvious reasons).

Still possible they play, they are just a supporting act on a show Riot is presenting... it seems to happen once or twice every lineup, one of the smaller bands end up on the lineup despite having a Chicago date near Riot.. shit last year, Radkey was on both Lolla & Riot

Possible but extremely unlikely for a band of their size. Radkey is from Chicago. Grumpster are from the Bay Area in CA and are a relatively small band... I don't see them popping up again for Riot unless they are coming back that way, anyway.

I engaged in another branch of this thread and almost went with "My Own Worst Enemy." But went with a slightly deeper cut: "Absolutely (Story Of A Girl)."

Riot posted an article about Andrew W.K. today. Not sure if it actually hints at him playing this year, but I thought it was interesting

(Also, anyone remember this show? I was 12/13 when it aired and I loved it. It was actually my first introduction to Andrew W.K. Haha)

I feel like Riot Fest articles never hint at anything. For every article they post about an artist who ultimately winds up being on the bill... There's another that has nothing to do with anything. Haha. Although we know the likelihood of Andrew playing is like 98%.

Also: I've never even heard of this show! I was, however, very familiar with the MTV one: My Friend Andrew W.K.

It was a fun show! I remember in 2009 CN attempted doing some live action shows and did a weekly block of them. That show was one of them. I also recall a game show where contestants had to answer questions while riding a roller coaster.

But yeah, Andrew W.K. was actually the unofficial spokesperson for CN for a couple years because of that show. I remember seeing him at Comic Con 2010 doing a field report for them. It was surreal to say the least.

Then a couple years later a friend of mine was like “you know he has a band, right?…”

There may be a Bay Area band or two they can tag along with if they play Riot ;-)

Why not The Mars Volta reunion…I would cry from joy.

True. Omnigone, Sarchasm, Get Married, and Like Roses would all be good. Maybe Tilt too, if we want to go old school with it.

Or were you hinting that Jawbreaker might play again?

This is me being deliberately obtuse.

I think it would be hilarious and kinda genius if they released the lineup at a random Eve 6 show

I'll go through the same stages of hell I go through every year

    1) initial excitement for the best line up everrrr
    2) lineup revealed to be initially disappointed
    3) although disappointed the lineup will obviously still be amazinf and I will severely consider going
    4) I will then re realize the lineup is mostly bands I've seen dozens of times with only like 1-2 unique acts and not worth the $1000 commitment
    5) remorse for not going
    6) contentness for not going
    7) its over and I can't wait for next year!

Do we think anyone is likely from this lineup?

Give me Fiddlehead, Pity Sex, and Superheaven please

Also would be down for some of the hardcore acts: Gulch, Spy, One Step Closer, Regional Justice Center, Militarie Gun, etc.

Do we think anyone is likely from this lineup?
