Loving that.

 

Listened to BJ Penn on Rogan. I was actually very surprised to listen to BJ's outlook on MMA and hear how complimentary he was of everyone else and also how little he bragged about himself. Back in the day, he was about the furthest thing from humble and always had people in his ear calling him a prodigy, but he was fairly humble throughout the whole podcast. He honestly came off as not even being as knowledgeable about MMA as you would think considering he's considered one of the GOATs lol. It was a decent listen, especially when he was talking about the early days of the UFC.

On a different, he knows nothing about the politics of Hawaii even though he's attempting to run for governor. For reference, he's having Tito as a guest speaker at one of his upcoming events lol.

Yeah that’s odd matchmaking. Both rising stars are against really tough guys who can end their streaks. Tai is definitely in a very tough fight. I would rather have them face each other.

 

Definitely agreed here. I guess that Gane v Blaydes isn’t exactly an exciting fight but there’s a high chance that that happens anyway and they stop Tom and Tai’s momentum.

 

Shame that Font missed weight :(

 

Yeah it’s strange. I think Tom is the best up and coming fighter in the entire company and it’d kinda suck to see his momentum die due to getting wrestle fucked.

Yeah they previously reported it would be September (last week I think) and Jones wasn’t thrilled. Makes me wonder if this photo listing was either premature/outdated or if they got Stipe to compromise on this earlier date.

Once again, I don't know who to pick when it comes to Oliveira. I think he's the better overall fighter and has more ways to win, but....I still never feel comfortable picking him because he seems content to eat a ton of shots while he tries to wear down his opponents. He gets blasted in almost every fight so I feel like eventually it will cost him. Still though, I think I'm leaning towards him by submission.
