You asked. I posted. I did not write the article. You are allowed to disagree. Miguel’s career is being celebrated by the 3,000 hit milestone. Acknowledging that he had off field incidents during that career where he was able to amass those 3,000 hits doesn’t seem like a crazy thing to make a comparison to, even if it’s to a lesser extent.

Perhaps the answer to the "is deGrom missing?" question is that deGrom is actually just impersonating Megill right now as a social experiment to see how long it will take people to question how a decent starter acquired superhuman powers over an offseason. The only question is, where is the real Megill?

In all seriousness, it is kind of insane how Megill has almost entirely replaced deGrom's expected performance for a month (maybe deGrom goes a few more innings and has a sub-1 ERA as opposed to a sub-2 one at this point). I don't expect it to last, but hopefully deGrom is back by the time the "Cylor" magic fades
