I'm a hater so I wanted to hate on Pete Davidson but tbh he's pretty charismatic. I didn't see his appeal until I saw clips of his played on tiktok, but I get it. Or I get it because tiktok indoctrinated me to lol either way

I’m definitely partial because I also have Crohn’s Disease and love weed and tattoos, but there’s definitely something to that too.

Has anyone caught any of the new episodes of Cursed Films? I've heard mixed things about Rosemary's Baby, but I'm supremely interested in Stalker and tomorrow is The Serpent and the Rainbow. Additionally, Intruder is on Shudder now and I've heard it's good camp

  8. I've been waiting to catch up on them in bulk. I was too drunk to remember Intruder (oops) but I do remember having a good time lol it's Raimi-adjacent

I’m Not You’re Mother was decent folk horror released this year. Atmospheric and bleak which makes everything so unsettling. If you’re looking for some familial trauma, check it out!

This sounds great but damn these familial horror films take such a toll on my mental health. I have to be in the right place for one of these.

  11. Looking like Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead or The Fog (or, Halloween 3) for the Last Drive-In premiere!

I’m actually really surprised by the Scream/NOES matchup! Ghost face prevails!

Also, it looks like the people have spoken.. (Re: Halloween)

    Extremely sad about Alien

  16. I’d choose Alien over Halloween just based on personal taste. But in terms of “HorrorTM”, I get it.

Alien/Scream are the most consistent horror franchises. Scream has the edge due to having less films in the franchise, but overall it might be Alien.

    Aliens is the GOAT baby.

My hot take is justice for the Purge.

  21. Agreed! Also shockingly consistent if you can get past how silly the premise is.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

finally got a chance to watch X and... idk. it was fine? my overwhelming feeling with Ti is that he captured lightning in a bottle with House of the Devil and it won't happen again, despite him being obviously talented. I'll leave some more thoughts in the X thread in case others haven't seen it yet either

I didn’t vote but Jaws is way better than Hellraiser what!? Jaws is a classic that made the summer blockbuster. Sure it’s not as “horror” as Hellraiser. Though it’s certainly the better film.
