It might mean something though, because the Mets really love guys who boost their on base numbers by leaning out over the plate. Nimmo, Alonso, McNeil, etc. are all always among the league leaders in HBP (or would be if two of them weren't all the time). Conforto obviously had a very famous example of this. They also signed Canha this offseason, who gets hit by a ton of pitches. I'm not sure if it's an explicit strategy that someone drew up (and there have been too many Mets hit up high), but it feels as though there's too much of a pattern for it to be purely coincidental

 

Pro tip if you have the time: Elbert and Massive can both be accessed from the same campground/forest road. I’ve done both and while Elbert obviously is the tallest in CO it’s a kind of meh hike overall. If you have time I really recommend trying to swing Massive too, it’s a haul to get up there but it’s easily my favorite 14er hike I’ve done
