I don’t think it is. (I posted the context so people at least knew what the apology was referencing). This really just boils down to someone saying an artists song is bad and the artist responding to said person, and then people being angry because the OP is 17 and “people are allowed to dislike songs”. Not really anything you can hold Lili/Beach Bunny accountable for.

 

Was the apology deleted? Either way, I think disliking a song is different than calling songs about eating disorders "cringe" and even if OP is 17, this is the way of the internet. You say or post dumb shit (especially when you're young) and you feel the heat for it. Sometimes, that learning experience can be a good thing.

This is pretty much my thought as well. Artists in the public spotlight should be aware that people are going to criticize them online, and clowning a 17-year-old is a bit silly. That being said, talking shit about someone like that, and then playing the victim when they snap back at you, is extremely lame. I personally don’t think Beach Bunny has anything to apologize for.

 

I don't know the band very well, but I also doubt they knew OP was 17 when they snapped back. Certainly not something I would think to check or look into if I was responding to shitty snark like that

I accidentally like tiktoks all the time. Not sure how easy tweets are to accidentally like. But the fact he didn't use the opportunity to disavow transphobic views in his response, and idk anything about his wife but if she is right wing and stuff that all adds up to be v discouraging and not as willing to give the fat fingers benefit of the doubt. Im a massive Jonny fan musically (idk anything about his personal life) so it's all disappointing.
