Safe to say this is one of my favorite bands now. I've listened to this so much the past few weeks.

How do y'all feel about the production? Still wrapping my head around it, and I get what they're going for, but idk. "Dancing Days" is such a good song and the blown out drums make it particularly devestating, but I can't help but feel it's a bit much. I'm being kind of vague because I don't actually know all that much about production.

I thought the aesthetic was really effective for the songs they'd written, but I also had no expectations, having not heard their old stuff.

Well, they've never been a clean-sounding band, but that was mostly just the guitars having this nice warm, hazy tone or this really abrasive fuzz to them. Now it sounds like one of Joe's vocal tracks is being either overdriven or reverbed in some songs, the drums get blown out every now and then, the guitars are lower in the mix for the most part I think? Either that or it's just a less guitar-driven album, which, you know, is totally fine. I'm not saying I don't like it yet. I wish I was more well-versed in this so I could make up my mind about it.

I love the production of this album. It's been a little while since I've listened tot the album so I can't mention any specifics, but I do remember one of the first thoughts I had about this album on my first listen (and each subsequent listen) was how much I loved how this album sounded sonically.

Yeah the production is great, it's so fuzzy, warm, and it allows for just enough dissonance to create some really interesting textures and soundscapes. I love how much dissonance and distortion is utilized sonically on this album.

Much better production than LOSE, where the vocals were often times too raw (audible plosives all over that record). This is still pretty raw but with more texture to it

My favorite production this band has had is WTAM, I think. I seriously love how that album sounds.

Have a Heart gets better and better every time for me. Love the production on the guitars, and the bass gives the song such a great feel too

I mainly checked this out because of the cover art, and I'm glad I did.

Joe's guitar has sounded so good the last few records. Makes me wanna buy some SS/BS pedals.

Eh I wouldn't if this is the sound you're trying to nail. Most of their pedals are drive pedals

Close is very easily my least favorite. It's fine, but it hasn't really clicked with me.
