For sure. & I get that during peak covid it was harder for the international guys to get over etc but they’ve kind of just stuck with that model now because they’re cheaper. It’s like Dana’s convinced himself that the world is still in lockdown.

Luque fought way too conservative especially in the late rounds.

I’m surprised at Luque’s inability to stop the takedowns and/or get away from Belal. He’s done better against guys I’d guess would be tougher on the ground. Hope he gets back in there soon enough.

 

Some SUPER weak cards lately.

Keen for Tyson Pedro’s return tomorrow though.

That’s because they moved a fight to the main card because a fight got cancelled at the last minute. It’s still stupid because the entire card in on ESPN+ and they should just start the main card early.

 

Francis got in the ring with Fury after his boxing match earlier and teased a hybrid fight later this year.

Yeah that’s silly if it’s all on ESPN+. Surely they could’ve done better than have 30min between prelim fights though. The one fight I wanted to watch and I’m like come onnnn haha

 

Yeah I’m all for Francis cashing in, but these MMA guys going to boxing just to get smoked for a payday is something that doesn’t interest me at all. It also sucks because the HW division has been held up by BS for awhile now.

 

Am only watching this main event because I can’t watch Grizz v TWolves. Hoping Andrade gets smoked.

Not-so-bold prediction: everyone involved will wait out Francis, he gets out of his contract or declines any fights, Jones vs Stipe will immediately be announced for the vacant title.

Aspinall is headlining the Liverpool card against either Tai or Blaydes

Gane is headlining the Paris card against either Tai or Blaydes

 

And I guess Paddy vs Bobby Green has been discussed at some point. And idk about that one
